A Definition of Utmost Importance

Tonight I spontaneously ventured to Starbucks with my friend from Filipino Alliance. I was treated with hot cocoa and really thankful for the sweet surprise! While walking in (or sloshing through) the snow...we got to talking about college life and life after college. 

It's so easy to get entangled in the web of lies that our society tells you: you need to be wealthy to be happy. your success depends solely on your job. the only way to live life is to live for yourself.

But my friend and I recognized that we are part of something greater... we are puzzle pieces to the magnum opus of God's plan. We were reminded that your career doesn't define you. Your grades don't define you. Money doesn't define you.

Where do you put your identity? 

In material things or in nonmaterial things?

In the things that fade or in the things that don't?

In the ephemeral or in the eternal?
